OUR STORY

 

As a new mum looking to purchase fine jewellery for my young daughter, I discovered that there was a lack of secure, adjustable and beautiful fine jewellery designed to be worn by young children. I had to go to retail shops to shop around (not much time or patience for this with a new baby!)  and found it was only the same old-fashioned stores that had the same old-fashioned jewellery in bright yellow 22ct gold. Not what I was looking for!

It’s traditional in many cultures to give gifts of fine jewellery to a new baby or young child in the family. However many of these have not been designed for young children or are the same, now old-fashioned, designs that existed as when I was a baby decades ago. Little was available that matched my modern taste that I would want to put on my daughter, and so I decided to create my own to make it easier for parents like me to find suitable jewellery.

MISSION

I wanted to bring something different to the jewellery market. To provide luxury jewellery for babies and children with a stylish, modern aesthetic that is comfortable for the baby and safe and secure to wear everyday. Taking a little stress away from the parents. One place that parents, friends and family can come to, to purchase these pieces, confident that they are designed specially for little ones. Pieces that can be treasured and passed down to the next generation.

Customer-centric - we have built our business around the modern parent. One that wants jewellery that is practical and stylish for their child. We want to create jewellery in designs that parents are looking for and be able to improve and develop to match our customer’s needs and wants.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are mindful of the impact our business has on the environment both now as a new business and as we grow. 

Through every decision we make, we consider how we can minimise any environmental impact. 

 

First and foremost we have decided to only use lab-grown diamonds. This is the best ethical and sustainable alternative to mined diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are exactly the same as mined diamonds in every way apart from where they are created. They have the same chemical composition and created using the same method of simple heat and pressure as those found naturally. 

Secondly, we are sourcing FSC certified and recyclable packaging and aiming for zero-plastic use in all our packaging. 

Thirdly, as we grow and once we are able to utilise economies of scale, we will be looking to move all our production and manufacturing closer to home to reduce our carbon footprint. 

There is still a lot of work we need to do and we hope as our business grows there will be more opportunity to become a fully sustainable business. Our goal is to make sure our environmental impact is kept at a minimum throughout our supply chain.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

We only ever produce in small batches.  This helps us to maintain a high level of quality and control over any improvements and developments to the design that our customers want in our products. Our prices may not be the most competitive but that is because we only stock designs of the highest quality and workmanship and produce in small limited quantities. We think this makes us special and our jewellery special.
